A Podcast For Fans, By Fans.
We're just two guys who love hockey way, way too much. Whether you're from the True North, The Music City or anywhere in between, we have you covered on all things Central Division.
Some folks just like to watch the world burn. We at Central Divided are those folks. As the Western Conference playoff race descends into the type of chaos usually reserved for a Michael Bay editing room, the importance of each game grows. Without further ado, here are the biggest games still on the board. Get your remotes ready!
Hello, and welcome back to Central Divided! With the holidays, my wedding and the fact that’s it’s literally colder in Chicago than on parts of Mars, I may have temporarily forgotten about the fact that I run a website… sorry about that.
The NHL will debut a pretty cool bit of technology at this year’s Winter Classic. For the first time ever, every puck used in the game will be coated in a thermochromic substance that will change the puck’s graphics from purple to white as the puck thaws. That got thinking, which is dangerous. What other ways can we tweak the game to make it better?
With the NHL’s announcement on Tuesday that the city of Seattle would be the home of the league’s 32nd franchise, there was an electric spark sent through the hockey world. But what happens after their first puck is dropped?
Hello, and a Happy American Thanksgiving week to all of you crazy folks! With all the recent head coach turnover in the NHL, we decided to put together an emergency episode before the holiday hits.
It’s that time of year again, the time of year we Americans gather around a family table, try not to bring up politics and eat way too much food. It’s a fun time, but a stressful one as well. We wanted to give you something to read while waiting for that emergency turkey to thaw or something you can change the subject after your least racist uncle gets too deep into the bar. All seven teams in the Central Division showed us their true colors this week, and with a busy slate ahead of American Thanksgiving, each team hopes to gobble up a few more points before woofing down some stuffing. Here are your Central Division Rankings:

We have crossed into a chilly and breezy November and every team seems to be hitting their stride, looking as vibrant as the autumn leaves outside. Well, every team except the one who fired their best coach in franchise history. I’m not bitter.
The Chicago Blackhawks might have made a heck of a mistake by canning Joel Quenneville. The St. Louis Blues might have been gifted a second chance at success.
It’s Halloween and the Central Division has been haunted by some frighteningly good hockey. Get ready to slice and dice our way through the Central, ya goons! Here are your Central Division Rankings:
Week three of our OTH power rankings features the same teams as last week. Well, at least they wear the same jerseys. Their play has been all over the place. Consistency has not been the friend (or foe) of several teams so far this season. Here are your Central Division Rankings:
Each team in the Central has only played a handful of games, but trends are already appearing. For some teams those trends are a pleasant surprise. For others COUGHTheBluesCOUGH uh… not so much. Here’s a little dose of what we’re serving up this week:
Cam Ward drama? We’ve got it! MacKinnon showstoppers? We’ve got it! Juicy Preds - Jets shenanigans? Oh you know we’ve got that! Plus, Mason just won’t let the banner thing die!!
Week two of our power rankings sees some big changes in momentum from a few teams and some depressing levels of stability from others. Here are your Central Division Rankings:
